Work for us
Every summer we build and run pop-up glamping villages at festivals and events across the UK. That takes crew: tent builders, drivers, site hosts and strike teams. We hire ours through CrewPool, the crew network we run.
How it works
Put your name on the list at joincrewpool.com. It takes two minutes and it is free. When we have a build near you, we text you directly with the dates and the day rate. No agency, no cut taken from your pay - what we agree is what you get.
It is not just us. Other event companies hire from the same list - bar work, stewarding, marquee builds, exhibition crew - so one signup gets you seen by everyone hiring near you.
The work
Tent build crew
Bell tent and stretch tent builds at festivals, weddings and events. No experience needed - reliable and able to muck in beats a CV. Builds run spring to autumn, biggest weeks June to August.
Drivers
Luton van runs from York/Malton to sites across the UK. Standard licence covers most runs; C1 or towing experience gets you picked first.
Site hosts
On-site through festival weekends: guest check-in, keeping the village tidy, being the friendly face. Suits people who like talking to humans.
Strike teams
The takedown. Fast, physical, done by lunch more often than not. Popular with people who want a day's pay without a week's commitment.
What we look for
Turning up when you said you would, then mucking in. That's most of it. If you have built bell tents before, worked festivals, hold a driving licence or tickets (forklift, IPAF, personal licence), say so on your CrewPool profile and you will get picked first.
After more than crew work?
Leading builds, running sites through a festival weekend, managing crews over a season - that's different work, and we hire for it directly. If you have run crews or sites before, ours or anyone's, email hello@theglampinggroup.com with a few lines about what you have run. No CV ceremony needed.
