How it works
Hiring a stretch tent, start to finish.
Stretch is a single-item hire so it is not on the guest booking portal. You book the tent direct with us as the festival organiser. If your festival also wants guest glamping accommodation, ask for our Festival Bell Tent brochure, the bell tents do run on a hosted booking page with your revenue share on every tent baked in.

Agree the event
Date, venue, size and any extras. A delivery-fee deposit holds the date.

We deliver and set up
Crew arrives a day or two before and sets the tent to your site, lighting tested and ready.

We take it down after
Once the celebration is over we come back and take everything away, usually the day after, no rush on you.

Add a bell tent village.
Pair the stretch with our pre-pitched bell tents and your guests sleep a few steps from the party, with real beds available to add. The bell tents run on our free guest booking system, so each guest picks and pays for their own. We quote the two together.

Common questions.
What does a festival typically use a stretch tent for?
Most-asked uses: main bar, VIP lounge, hospitality / artist green room, chill-out zone, workshop or yoga space, stage shelter for smaller acts, dining / hospitality area. The tent flexes to the brief, we can talk through layout once we know the festival programme.
How is a stretch tent different from a marquee on a festival site?
No rigid frame, just canvas and ground anchors. That means it shapes around your site (slopes, irregular plots, awkward corners) rather than the site fitting the tent. It also rigs faster, takes less labour to install, and looks more sculptural than a square marquee on the festival ground plan.
How big are the tents and how many people fit?
Small (7m × 10.5m): 70 standing, 50 seated, 35 workshop. Medium (10.5m × 15m): 150 standing, 120 seated, 75 workshop. Large (15m × 21m) is two Mediums laced together along their long edge: 300 standing, 240 seated, 150 workshop. That is the one to ask for if you need a bigger bar or VIP space.
Can we run two or more stretch tents joined together?
Yes. We routinely run a Medium attached to a Small for festival bars that need a back-of-house service zone, or two Mediums for hospitality areas serving 300 standing. Tell us your headcount and the layout brief, we will sketch the configuration.
Why is the festival price higher than the wedding price?
Festival jobs are bespoke and usually involve multi-day hire, longer install windows, larger crews, late finishes, on-site overnight crew and tighter site logistics. The wedding price is a floor, we quote festivals per event so the numbers reflect the real job.
Are stretch tents weatherproof for a multi-day festival?
Yes. The canvas is engineered for UK weather and the tensioned low-profile design handles wind better than a marquee. We rig conservatively in exposed festival fields and the canopy is designed to shed rain off the right edges.
Can we use the tent for stage shelter or band hospitality?
Yes. The Small works well as a hospitality / green room for one stage, the Medium will shelter smaller acoustic stages and side-stages. For headline mainstages you usually want a dedicated stage roof rather than a stretch tent, ask and we will be honest about whether stretch is the right call for your specific stage.
Can the tent attach to existing festival structures?
Yes. No rigid frame means we can anchor against walls, containers and shipping container bars, or shape it around an irregular plot. Send a site map or photos and we will talk through the rigging.
Do you provide bar fit-out, furniture, lighting beyond festoon?
Festoon (perimeter and interior) and basic heating come from us. For bar fit-out, lounge furniture, sound, AV and decor we will point you at suppliers we have worked alongside across the UK.
When do you install for a festival, and how long does it take?
Setup the day before gates open is standard. A single tent is a half-day install with a 2-3 person crew. Multi-tent festival builds we start 2-3 days early and work to your site programme.
How much site space does each tent need?
Small (7m × 10.5m) needs ~9m × 13m including guy ropes and anchor lines. Medium (10.5m × 15m) needs ~13m × 18m. Large (15m × 21m) needs ~18m × 24m. Flat or gently sloping ground works best, we can rig on slopes within reason.
Can we modify the booking after we lock it in?
Yes. Tent count, add-ons, flooring and lighting can all change up to about two weeks out. After that we are into production and changes get harder, but we will flex where we can.
Do you also do glamping accommodation for festivals?
Yes, that is our main festival product. Bell tent villages with a hosted booking page, your revenue share on every tent baked in, on-site check-in for larger events. Ask for the Festival Bell Tent brochure for the full picture.
How does payment work for a festival?
25% deposit confirms the booking. 25% at 6 weeks before the event. Final balance, based on confirmed setup, 14 days before. Single invoice, organiser-led, no guest payments on stretch.

About us
Family-run, from Yorkshire.
The Glamping Group was launched by Max and Ruby in 2020. We started with just two bell tents and have since worked on hundreds of events, from festivals and weddings to parties and corporate days, right across the UK, building glamping villages for up to 500 guests. Still the two of us at the helm, still doing it because we love it.
